Safety and security window films

Natural disaster or accidental breaks will litter the space with dangerous shards of glass. Safety glass will splatter diamond-shaped pieces of glass across the space, impeding an evacuation during an emergency. Safety film is designed to hold shattered glass fragments and keep them within the window frame. Occupants are kept from flying glass while the weather remains outside.

Schools, daycares, hospitals, and many public facilities use safety films as a part of their earthquake preparedness program to keep their occupants safe from flying shards of glass.

Blast mitigation film is made to hold broken shards together while stretching as a blast wave passes, then rebound back during the negative phase of the blast. Glass fragments are the leading cause of injury and death during a terrorist attack or explosive event. 

NOTE: 8mil security films do not pass anti-intrusion testing. 15mil thick films should be used for anti-intrusion purposes. Don't settle for less when life and property is being protected.

Anti-intrusion film surprises burglars by forcing them to use more aggressive break-in tactics to shatter the glass. In the mean time, the alarm sensor (glass breakage sensor) has triggered the alarm before the glass is even broken. Hopefully, this delay helps the police response while allowing occupants time to react to the threat.

This same window film technology is being used at schools to help slow down active shooters. Broken shards of glass being held in place by anti-intrusion window film inhibits access through the window frame while hindering the ability to sight targets through the shards. Retarding shooter progress through the building allows teachers, students, and the authorities time to act, warn, and respond.
